Yes, I think this is out of scope for Q1. For now we have the "in progress" animation which signals the user that the system is working, and with the upcoming search optimizations in the backend this will get down to acceptable levels I think. I would leave this for now as it is.

We will incorporate this feedback into Q2 designs, however I think the system should be more intelligent when dealing with long requests - ie IMHO setting just a timeframe for a request might not be enough and additional measures might be needed to determine what's the problem (slow connection vs server or client error)
