[oae-production] Preview Processor High Availability

Hi,

                I'm trying to finalise our design for SakaiOAE and from the posts and deployment guide [1] understand the  preview-processor should run on its own server.
To provide high availability to our users a couple of questions have arisen


*         How does the preview-processor keep track of what it has processed?

*         Is it possible to have more than one running concurrently?

*         If we have to build a new preview-processor server how does it know what has already been processed or does it start from scratch. If so, does it overwrite the existing jpegs>
